The 6 Day Reflection to Projection Project - Day One

In 2016 I created a 10 day version of this project to guide you through reflecting over the past year and then looking forward into the upcoming one. This year I cropped it down to just 6 days - 3 days of reflection and 3 days of projection ending in the oh-so-awesome Vision Statement.
I'm not sure why everyone seems to set a hard finish to the end of a year on December 31st but that is the norm. This could actually be done in smaller 6 month increments so you don't forget some accomplishments and how far you have come and are better able to set your course for the next 6 months.
But here we are and "everyone is doing it" right?
Let's begin with Day One - Reflection

We often start with a "Word of the Year". I see people posting this a lot this time of year. I personally don't do it. There is no reason why, it's just something that doesn't excite me. But upon REFLECTION it is pretty easy to pick a word or two that summarizes the past 12 months don't you think? There are no "good" or "bad" words here. If you think the word that comes to mind for you is negative in any way, I guarantee you can find a positive in the circumstances or lessons you learned that brought that word to the forefront for you. AND you can use it to your advantage in the coming year. If your word(s) is a super-positive one that makes you want to jump up and down - YAY YOU! Keep that momentum going into 2018! No matter what your word is that best describes your personal journey this year make sure to expand on it while you are writing it out. List examples of why that word came to mind and explain it as if you were writing this for someone else (maybe you are!). Now all you have to do is find a perfect time of day and a cozy place to relax, pen in hand, breathe deeply, let go, reflect and write. If you have a favorite journal by all means use it! If not, I'm giving you Reflection to Projection sheets RIGHT HERE that you can download and print.
